Hi Mike,
I agree with John that we should pay attention to the permission on the
shared folder.
We can have following methods:
Methods 1
================
- Put these two servers into one domain.
- Get all users log off.
- Use robocopy to copy these profiles to the new file share with the
original permission.
- Change the user''s profile path in the AD Users and Computers MMC to the
new server.
Methods 2
================
Use the following New tool to migrate it:
Microsoft File Server Migration Toolkit (FSMT)

Hi all,
I need to move my roaming profiles from one server to another server.
Is there anything that I have to do other than just copy the folder with
all the profiles in it to the new server and change the profile location
in the user container in the Active Directory?
Thanks
