I am trying to add addtional fields to Active Directory, I
am a Schema Admin & I am trying to get the "photo"
attribute to show up in the properties of our users in
AD. I have went through the process & checked
"Allow this attribute to be shown in Advanced View"
"Attribute is Active"
"Index this attribute in Active Directory"
"Replicate this attribute to Global Catalog"
I replicate the domain but even in advanced view I dont
see the photo field or any other Attribut that I try. Has
anyone been able to add these field or any fields to AD?

Thanks

Hello Ken,

You can't display the picture in the default Interface of Active
Directory-Users and Computers. You'll have to program another
Administration Interface or Extend Active Directory-Users and
-Computers.

I'd also say that you probably don't want to make this part of the partial
replica set either. Granted the photo's aren't very big, but this will add
to your intersite replication, and it will add more traffic depending on the
number of domains you have. You also don't really need to index a picture -
how are you going to search by picture?? <g>
