Hi All,

Does anyone know if it is posible to update ADAM to let you create a user
object like a Sun LDAP server;

example: uid=user,ou= org unit,o=org, c=us

I am migrating users from the Sun LDAP server where uid is the default..

ideally I am looking for an ldif for adam etc..

Any pointers would be great as I am getting object slass violations from
ADAM..

Blast should have used a real LDAP....

Cheers

ADAM allows you to change the RDN attribute ID for a given class, so you
should be able to use UID for this purpose if you like. I don't have an
LDIF handy that I can share though.

Hi

an example of the use of a custom RDN can be found here:

http://groups.google.co.uk/group/microsoft.public.windows.server.active_directory/browse_thread/thread/1a25b2e30a8bd10c/

however for a Sun to ADAM migration there are other issues, that you may
already be aware of, e.g. password migration, security (ACL/ACI) mapping,
(dynamic) group mapping, attributes that are multi-valued in source but not
target schema....
