Thanks for the responses. Here is what I am trying to do. I am trying to
deploy antivirus (Symantec version 10) to Windows XP workstations. I have a
Windows server 2003 domain and when i joined windows xp workstions the simple
file sharing opton is still checked. When I try to push the client out to
the workstions I get an error saying I need to disable" simple file sharing."

Doesn't sound right. As Neo said, when you join a machine to the domain SFS
is automatically turned off.

Are you sure these machines are members of the domain?

In addition to Paul's question and working with Windows XP SP2, is the
built-in firewall turned off?
