Removing Folder Redirection

We have about 12 users synchronizing (folder redirection) there folders with
a WIN 2K server. We plan to follow Article ID 888203 to start removing users
1 by 1 off of folder redirection.

Question: When we redirect the user's folder back to the local userprofile
and logoff and back on with that user, do we move that user's account to a
new OU? What rights or settings should the new OU have if it is needed?

Also, we have 2 WIN 2K3 servers that split the FSMO roles.

Thanks in advance.

it depends on the GPO that is linked to their existing OU. Are still going to
have folder redirection enabled? I would think if folder redirection is still
enabled in the OU's GPO then yes you would either want to move them out of
the OU. Or disable folder redirection in the OU's GPO. Are their only users
in the OU are you are just change the folder redirection for just these 12
user and keeping the redirection for other users still in the same OU. Just
not sure what you want to have happen.

Thanks for your response.

We want to eliminate the use of folder redirection totally. There are only
12 users that access folder redirection. We will disable folder redirection
one person at a time. So, do we have to create another OU that is not linked
to the GPO? What do we do with the current GPO once everyone has been removed
from folder redirection?

Thanks again.
