ADMT - will it Move or Copy user info

Hi,
I am trying to migrate user accounts and Mail boxes from NT to W2K3. I
would like to test with just 1 user account but not sure if I can test one
user or the entire domain will be migrated.

Also will this leave NT with all the information intact so I can roll back
if needed or will it move to the W2K3 and make the NT server not usable.

Hello.

Sure you can test with as many accounts as you want, objects are copied
during a migration and not deleted at the source, there is a option to
disable accounts at the source during migration, but that is not optional.

Greetings,

Admt will allow you to test MOVE with the SID and will do
move very nicely. However it will not do EXchange or
mail. Such tasks must be done with other means.

ADMT will MOVE the accounts if a intra-forest migration is being performed
and it will COPY the account if a inter forest migration is being performed.
If you are migrating from a NT4 Domain to a Windwos 2003 domain it will be a
copy and will not be destructive, you must just watch out for access that
has been granted to user accounts via security groups. see article
