Double-clicking object doesn't open object properties!?!?!?

Windows Server 2003 Enterprise:

When I double-click an object, for example a user, the object properties DO
NOT open. Instead the container, users, is just expanded in the Console Tree
pane. In order to view ANY object's properties I have to right-click the
object. How can I correct this???

Uncheck View|Users, Computers, and Groups as containers.

This is an advanced view mode item. It shows those objects as they really are,
containers. They are not leaf nodes.
